Design

I work with the owner-builders to define needs, requirements, site conditions, budget and schedule. With the owner-builders we develop alternative schemes to meet their objectives. This includes plan drawings and may also incude a model to help visualize the entire structure.

Construction Drawings

Based on the design, drawings are prepared for the construction of the house. These are needed for building permit review and actual construction. A structural Engineer reviews and makes recommendations.

Typical drawings include:

Site Plan, Floor Plan, Foundation Plan, Elevations, Building Section, Wall Sections, and an Electrical Plan.

Construction

I am available for consultation and clarification during the construction process. If the owner builder needs skilled assistance in any particular phase of the construction, that can be arranged.
