Dispatchers are the hub of daily Police Operations. They are exposed to a variety of complex and stressful situations, the outcome of which is often influenced by their ability to develop a calm and practical method of reaction. It takes a truly special individual to make a GOOD Dispatcher.

More info to follow, but the West Long Branch Police Department utilizes Special Law Enforcement Officers, Classes I & II, according to State guidelines. They are deployed in a variety of missions including Traffic & Parking Enforcement, Bicycle Patrol and Community Policing Details. They are paid hourly and that wage varies as per the individual, based on time in grade and other personnel factors.
