WELCOME TO MY 1972 W-30 PAGE

1972 442 W-30 with a 455CI engine and Th400 trans. I also have a 3500 stall ATI converter and a 4:10 rear end. Exhaust is a set of Hooker Super Comp Headers with 1 7/8 tubes with a 3 inch exhaust with tail pipes and 3 inch Flow masters. I race and also show the car.  Best time thus far is 11.77 @113.7 mph in the quarter at Milan Dragway, Milan Michigan  This picture was taken at Norwalk Raceway, Norwalk Ohio

As you can tell by the pics, I am still using the stock W-30 alum intake and Rochester Q-jet 4-bbl carb. My goal was to make the car look stock appearing and have the power to make this 3770 lbs car move. I am also using an electric Mallery 160gph fuel pump to make sure I never run out of fuel. For engine specs go to http://mywebpages.comcast.net/wmachines/ENGINE/index.htm

The interior is all stock except for Olds Motor sports fuel, oil and water temp gauges. Also the Autometer tach with shift light are the only extras in the interior. The options inside which include the 4-spoke rally wheel, Factory Am/Fm stero radio, tilt column, factory rally pack, interior light package and dual gate shifter.

The rims on the Olds are 15 x 7 SSIII bolt on center cap rims. These rims were only available in 1974. I had the two rear rims widen to 15 x 8 and put on M/T Drag Radials. The tire size is 275/60R15. It has a tread width of 8.8 inches. These tires have excellent traction. They are giving me a 1.68 60ft times in the 1/4 mile and have excellent handling abilities at 110mph when I am racing and cruising the street.

Just some extra pics for you to enjoy. I know that I enjoy them.   Like I said, this car isn't a trailer queen.  On occasion I will trailer it if it is more than 2 1/2 hour drive one way.  Thats because there is still maintance to be done on a street machine.
