雨滴转变成雪
那时候诗人该怎么办
可怜的东西?
她将不理睬风暴
喝茶保暖
把她的诗藏在翅膀下。

The north wind doth blow
the rain turns to snow
and what will the poet do then
poor thing?
She'll weather the storm
drink tea to keep warm
and hide her poems under her wing.
Poor thing!

照例在那个老俱乐部举行

Merrily We Roll Along
The Class of '47 reunion,
held at the same old
Country Club -- so we can
find it, and have easy access.
Some knees and hips
have been replaced,
heart valves repaired,
cataracts removed,
hearing aids turned on.
Tables are placed far enough apart
to accommodate canes,
wheelchairs, walkers. The path
is clear to the restrooms.
The menu has been selected
for easy chewing and digestion.
Gosh, I can't wait
to see my very best friend
old what's-her-name!
