William Clark Monument
Restoration Project

In the late 80's, Bud and John Clark visited the monument at Bellefountaine Cemetary in
St. Louis, MO with their families.  The monument featuring this Partridge sculpture in bronze that was dedicated 1904.  As you can see, the bronze was quite corroded and in need of attention. 

The damage went beyond the bronze.   Much of the flatwork and the structural stone work were shifting, as seen in the photos below:

Bud and John launched a successful fund-raising effort to restore the monument.  The finishing touches will be complete in the spring of 2004, and the Clark Family will host a rededication ceremony on May 21, 2004 as part of the national signature event.  Please see our website in the future for further updates and schedule.
