Sharp on 12 Jul 1845.41 She died on 27 Jul 1888 in Washington Twp. Darke Co., Ohio her death record states she was born in Montgomery Co., Ohio.42 She was named after Dr. Jacob Mulford's mother Sarah Stevens.33 In the 1820 census there were 2 females under age 10 in the Jacob Mulford household, in 1820 Sarah would have been 840.

There were many facts which pointed to them as the parents, for example Sarah Stevens was the name of Jacob Mulford's mother. Sarah Mulford was born in Montgomery Co. home of Jane and Jacob and her maiden name was Mulford. Also Charles was co-owner of a lot with Jacob Mulford .

The direct proof that Sarah Stevens Mulford was the daughter of Jane Hole and Jacob Mulford is the letter from Jane Mulford to her children Sarah Stevens Mulford and Charles M. Sharp. In the letter Jane tells Sarah of the problems she is having closing her father Jacob Mulford's will.See the Mulford/Sharp Letter.

The book "Ancestry of the Haines, Sharp, Collins, Wills, Gardiner, Prickitt, Eves, Evans, Moore, Troth, Borton and Engle Families. Compiled from notes of the. Pub. by Sinnickson Chew & Sons Co., Camden, N.J., 1902" by Richard Haines gives lots of Haines , Sharp inter marriages in the Camden area.

The most probable Haines I think, is Haines Sharp brother of Benjamin Sharp who died in Philadelphia in 1811 who might be Charles's father. Nothing is said of children of Benjamin. Haines Sharp went to Ohio. Sarah Stevens MULFORD and Charles SHARP had the following child:
