Greetings and welcome to Shadow Academy!You may have been directed here by a
friend, seen one of our demonstrations around the country, attended one of our
events or simply met a Shadow Academy Instructor . No matter you got here, the important
thing is you're here and willing to learn. Who am I, that I am able to teach? Well, I
have been involved in the BDSM lifestyle in one form or another since the age of 15 and have watched the evolution of the various aspects of the leather world over the last 20+ years. I started my journey as a leather slave boy, and have trained under some of the most skilled leather tops in the nation. I still bottom once and awhile as I feel it maintains a connection to that mindset. Over the years I have
worked as a Professional Dominant , created and ran various BDSM toy businesses, and design and create S&M tools to this day. As a writer I have written various essays and placed them on the web since 1996. These essays and stories have been reprinted on many sites,
including this one, so browse around, as well as print publications including winning a few on-line awards. I also write, and have had published, a few poems and I do think of myself as a poet.
In 1999, I started Master Skills school in the twin cities of St. Paul/Mpls,
when I saw an Influx of new people experimenting in the lifestyle. Many books
have been published over the years but there has been, and still is, a lack
of the hands on skills training needed to practice SM and yes even D/s safely,
sanely and consensually. Reading is just not enough , it cannot replace face to
face coaching from those with real world experience. With Masters Skills school
I have trained hundreds of people providing presentations , seminars and

As the headmaster of Shadow Academy , I have been opening my home and private dungeon to many people in the last 15 years. As well as traveling to many peoples homes for discussions and demonstrations for their small groups. Shadow Academy is not only a avenue to train novices and couples in the safe practices of S&M D/s and BD with Demonstrations, Group Classes and Private lessons, but also a format to impart information on the ideal's of the leather lifestyle. Those principals as well as other information are available in the library at no charge because it is the one on one interaction with the teachers of Shadow Academy that has the real value. Shadow Academy also provides demonstrations, seminars, and hands on training at various events around the country, as well as discussion, panel moderation and lectures on the various aspects of BDSM.

Learning our tools, the toys of sensation play; Basic SM
An introduction to what it is we do in SM sensation play for the novice who is overwhelmed by the range of skills needed to be a top and a primer for those wishing to get an idea of "what do I do now." Learn about basic SM toys, their construction and uses. There is a lot to SM than is not directly visible in the tools we use, safety, targeting and the areas to strike are important as well as the equipment we use.
Course covers a discussion of basic principals of S&M. A tour of the basic tools and equipment of an SM dungeon and discussion their uses in a scene. As well as hints and secrets on how to construct your own scene, toys and equipment. Includes question and answer period. ideas on household toys and tools and simple home made toys. This inclusive and open exploration of the "Buffet" of D/s does not lay down ground rules to follow but gives the attendee the "guiding hand" to assist them in defining themselves and their own path. Lord Wolf puts forth and deeply believes that there is no "true" form of Dominance and submission but a determination of personal relationship dynamics. In this course Lord Wolf seeks to help those attendees to use others paths and definitions for craft their own style and self determination of their D/s interactions.

Single tail Basics
Join a frank exploration of the fantasy and function of this the epitome of the S&M tools. The full range of use and the psychological and physiological aspects of the
single tail whip will be explored in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Whip types and uses are discussed as well as the physical outcome of using a whip on a person and the mental aspects of a singletail scene,
safety issues and care of your whip and a demonstration of the various throws and techniques in a session.
Course includes 4 basic throws, " William tell" " Side throw" " Overhand" and "Underhand" as well as the "full wrap" technique and hints and tips on using the whip in a light session. Come with your own whip. Instruction with use of MSS tools at the

Under the Lash, techniques of striking sensation; Advanced
Single tail.
This advanced course is aimed at those who wish to continue what they have learned in
Single tail 101 and those who have moderate experience with the single tail and wish to hone their skills and learn new techniques. This lesson focus's on direct contact with the subject of your attentions, the marking involved and is for those who wish to journey farther into the realm of sadism and masochism. Attention to the physical and mental effects of SM edge play are addressed.
Course also covers 6 new single and multiple throws including "Rhythm" " Figure eight " " Cross throw" "Double throws"
(which allow a constant movement of the whip), the "Ring master/Lion tamer" and "Circus crack" as well as their use in a sensual to severe session, hints and tips on maximizing the affect, reading body language and aspects of setting the proper ambiance.
For those who wish to progress, a demonstration of the
Florentine method will also be shown. Two matching short whips needed for practice. Instruction with use of MSS tools at the headmasters discretion.

A fun exploration of these age old tools of correction and discipline, from walking sticks to rattan, from the hazing paddle to bamboo learn how to use these simple but intense tools to the greatest effect. Learn the different
types of material available and the structure of a good tool, how to hold your tools for maximum effect and comfort and
how fashion your own tools. Ideas for where to find them and how to use them. To what to look for in a
good paddle or cane and the traits that make a GREAT paddle or cane.
Course will cover good technique with these striking implements, what to look for during and after a session, the psychological and physiological aspects, where to strike and where not to, from Spanking and Corporal punishment to Bastado and intense scene

Crafting a Scene: how to create a world.
An SM session is the final essence of a Sadist or Dominant and the outward expression of your ideals,
ideas and experience. In this course you can take all you have learned and weave it into a session that will leave your subjects gasping for more.
Learn about music and lighting, temperature and tools. Learn the tips and tricks to making a scene fluid, seamless and enjoyable for all. All aspects of the actual scene are discussed. Mind set, setup, warm-up, presentation, connection, voice work,
acting, role-play, safety issues, dungeon first aid, sex magic, sexual alchemy, ending a scene "Top space" and aftercare are widely explored to give you a strong foundation in being that "perfect" Master.

This pricing is to cover events where the amount of attendees is unknown or More than thirty people attending to give event organizers a reduced rate for their event.
Shadow Academy requests transportation costs for any instruction at
your location with travel more than 30 miles, Over night accommodations
where applicable as well as the instuction or demonstration fee. Any number of participants can attend. Presentations cannot be videotaped for duplication or public presentation.
Transportation: If within a 8 Hour driving range, Shadow Academy
instructors will drive to your location and ask that the costs for fuel are reimbursed.
If outside this driving range Shadow Academy may request up to 2 round-trip plane tickets for the instructor and an assistant (inexpensive, these days -- about $200 per person), ride to/from airport and venue.
Shadow Academy prefers their instructors to arrive the day before a presentation and leave the day after, so accommodations should include those days. Accommodation: hotel, motel, or private guest room. If there is event vending, tradeoff can be negotiated.
Headmaster Wolf prefers events with vending but it is not a requirement.

Shadow academy News
Wolfhold has moved ... Again ! So Shadow Academy is currently without dungeon space or instructional space at this time . Though we do have a few spaces we can rent to host your event, this leaves us without a space to do the One on One instruction that has that " Feel" . We are continuing to do instruction at our home at this time , but we do need to check you out a bit more ::smile::: Stalkers are NOT welcome . We are hoping to move to our permanent home sometime in the winter of 2006 spring of 2007, but to do this we need your support .
