The popular Curator of the Worth Historical Museum who has been with the Park

District for over 10 years has been forced out of her position by neglect of the

Worth Park District Board of Commissioners to perform their duties and

responsibilities which they were elected to do.  They gave away their authority to

hire and fire to the Director.

Can you imagine working under a policy which has been in place, is in writing but

which your boss has the ability to change whenever you are the target.  Our Park

Board Commissioners are allowing this.

Can you imagine getting a budget for your department, planning an assigned

program with this budget in mind, getting signed contracts and your boss says

after you have worked on it for 3 months that you are spending too much money

and cuts the money back to what you planned to spend but declares that this is

the sum you will have to spend for the entire next 12 months.

Can you imagine always having your work ridiculed.

This kind of behavior sounds like harassment to us and our Park Board of

Commissioners is allowing this to happen.  All employees of the Park are subject

to this kind of management making for a very unhappy work place.  Now you

know why Park programs are less than satisfactory.  And where is our taxpayer

money actually going?

There is a chain of command for employees to use when they have problems but

it doesn't work.. It was tried but guess what happened.  The complaints got to the

Park Board DOA (Dead On Arrival) and have never been seen or heard about

again.
