How noble and admirable of Dee Woods to come to the defense of her neighbor,
Steve Werner, who has been severally criticized, with justification for his
action or
lack of action as President of the Worth Park Board. It was he and two of his Park
Board Commissioners who hired an Executive Director at an exorbitant salary
with
benefits who has dictatorial powers on ALL Park District matters including the
budget,
which now has a deficit of $89,398.21.
Does that sound like President
Werner "demands
accountability"?
All the articles written by members of the Historical Society and Museum are
true,
accurate and factual. All of the
members are VOLUNTEERS, most of them since
1995.
Does a civic minded community volunteer make him or her competent to be an
efficient Park Commissioner? We've
heard several people say that Steve is a loose
cannon with a short fuse. We
witnessed that at an open meeting of the Historical
Society in June when he had a tantrum because someone was overly critical of
HIS Executive Director.
Is this the prerequisite needed to be a conscientious commissioner?
