A lot of work for a handful of people can  make a lot of people happy and  this happens

when the Worth  Historical Museum members go to work on an event..  Such was  the

case for last years Classic Car Cruise.    After a very  successful cruise in June 2008,

as a car enthusiast who goes to many car shows and cruise nights with my own show

cars,  I have been asked  by car owners when are we going to have our  next Worth

Cruise Night.   People started asking before we ever considered having  another one.

The first car show was very successful because we had over 50 cars, gave out door

prizes, goodie bags, dash plaques and had an actual cruise complete with police

escorts through the friendly village.  It was all for free and I had never seen it done

this way  before in all my years of doing car events.

The response of the people was amazing as they looked at the cars on display in the

park.  While parading through town people would stop what they were doing to

watch the cars going by and cheered us on.  They were pleased with what they saw.

With  our former Museum Curator, Christine Brooks resigning in May because of the

toxic environment in which she had to work and her husband Carroll no longer being

involved, I feel we don't have the people we need to put on the quality event that the

people expect so therefore, the Worth Historical Museum will not be involved this year.

The Worth Park District will be managing the event in July.
