Lake Anne Revitalization

In 1998, the Fairfax County designated the Lake Anne Village Center as a Revitalization Area, one of seven such areas in the county.  The basic premise was that the center's economic viability had been weakened by age, limited funding for maintenance and the competition from newer business centers nearby.  The County's Revitalization Program includes the ability for the County to facilitate improvement of the designated areas in concert with local revitalization groups and the community.

The Reston Community Reinvestment Corporation (RCRC) is the corporation formed to provide a community focus on the Lake Anne Revitalization Area.  The WPCA is a member of the RCRC Board.  Further information on the RCRC and the Revitalization Program is available on the Internet at http://home.comcast.net/~rcrc_board/default.htm and at www.fcrevit.org.
