WILLIAM B. "Bill" RATCLIFF(Nominated by Region 3) President/CEO |
Welcome to part of my world that is dedicated to the future path of IEEE, Region 3 and the leadership required for the journey. The ideas, perspectives, opinions, values, …a portion of the “Vision” expressed herein are included to give you a glimpse of the direction and the types of change that must be engineered not just left to evolve on its own.
Engineered change that will improve IEEE and add value to all of our lives.
During the past 40 years I have experienced the development of engineering and scientific computer applications…. Yes before computers were commonly available in most industries.
I participated in the evolution of information technology, in engineering as well as finance / accounting, on its way to become a corporate resource.
My experience in corporate operations extends beyond computer applications into engineering, manufacturing, procurement, finance, human resources, quality improvement, corporate planning and administration. My industrial knowledge includes aircraft manufacturing (Gulfstream Aerospace), electric utilities (Public Service Indiana, Edison Electric Institute) and non-profit organizations (Catholic Archdiocese of Indianapolis & Diocese of Savannah ). As a result of the evolution both opportunities and also problems have been created.
|
The inability of organizations to implement fundamental change but continue to evolve systems and processes led me to the development of appropriate methodologies and the formation of ETI - Enterprise Technologies Inc. as a means to make these methodologies widely available to industry and other organizations. Together, we learn to look beyond the "surface problems" and find the root cause for the problems and challenges that face us, as well as potential future problems before they surface. Like with the iceberg to the right, we often fail to see the larger underlying issues. |

As an IEEE volunteer I continue to
bring this knowledge base to focus on the fundamental changes, that will address the root causes of issues surfacing today. |
Please think of this site as a launching point for
discussion and not just a static point to broadcast information.
Together,
we can make the difference.
