I decided to install new gears. The work was done by Randy's Ring and Pinion. Along with the gear change a new T/A cover was installed, as well as all new  bearings and seals.

My car had the stock 3.42:1 and now it has 4.11:1

The car responds way faster now, the gears are "shorter" and there's a new "attitude" I can feel. The engine operates in the rpm sweet spot more often than before, so the torque is always there, right now.

I recommend this mod for everyone that has a 6 speed car.
