| The Woodland String Band was established in February 1926 and has competed in the annual Philadelphia Mummers Parade every New Year's Day since January 1st, 1927. Woodland originated in the Southwest section of Philadelphia and moved to its current location on "Two Street" in the heart of "Mummers Row" in July of 1990. The year 2008 marks Woodland's 82nd consecutive year in existence, one of the longest among Philadelphia's string bands. Read more about The Band and our history. |

The Band's recently
dedicated Clubhouse, "Anderson Hall" is
located at 2041-45 South Third St. in Philadelphia and is available for
rental for your next party or special occasion. The Club has a fully equipped kitchen and is PLCB licensed.
Need a night out? Woodland holds several parties and fund-raisers
throughout the year. Check The
Club for details.
