Annulment Information Night

“The ABC’S of Annulments”, an informational program designed to answer questions about the process of Annulments, will be held on Friday, January 9, 2009 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, at St. John Vianney, 300 Captain Thomas Boulevard, West Haven, CT. Brother Larry Lussier, CSC, will be the presenter. Questions and answers will be provided following the presentation. The event is open to all seeking an annulment in the Catholic Church. 2009 Social Action Summer Institute

Comes to New England

Plan on a trip to Seton Hall, Newark, New Jersey for the Social Action Summer Institute Program coming the dates of July 19th  – 24th. Rev. Bryan Hehir from Harvard University will present, “Foundations of Catholic Social Teaching” followed by a parish social action track designed especially for those involved in social justice ministries. For Your Health

Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center will present two- (2) stroke education and prevention programs in July. Sessions will be held on Tuesday, July 14, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the Saint Francis Care Community Health Resource Center, 31 Sycamore St., Glastonbury, and Tuesday, July 28, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Hospital, 114 Woodland St., Hartford. Participants will learn about risk factors for stroke, including high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, obesity, physical inactivity and diet. The Catholic Dinner Club is for married, single, divorced, widowed or non-Catholic adults over age 21. Its purpose is to support its members in their Catholic Faith. Dinners are held at Holy Apostles Seminary, Cromwell, on the 2nd Saturday of every month. Reservations must be made by the 1st Friday of every month. The cost of a dinner (professionally catered) is $25.00 per non-member or $20 per member. Both dinner and a significant Catholic topic are included in the evening.
