In 3 years in the DSL, Made's hitting improved, although he drew progressively fewer walks each year. He was rather old to be starting out in the GCL. Although he hit for a low average, he had good BB/AB and BB/K ratios, and most of his hits went for extra bases. With Neil Walker and Steve Lerud present, and with Bradenton lacking any 1B prospect, he played 18 games at 1B and only caught in 9 games. Given his age, it's hard to regard him as a prospect. He could be at either Bradenton or Williamsport next year. The latter is more likely if Walker and Lerud are at Hickory.
