Munoz is a lean, rangy-looking SS, which probably appeals to a tools-oriented organization like the Pirates. He continued to hit for average and decent gap power in the GCL, as he had in Venezuela, although his walk rate went from very high to very low. Like Alexander Peralta, he played only half the time as the team gave a lot of time to the much older Dan Schwartzbauer. Munoz committed only 4 errors in 25 games at SS, which is a very low rate for rookie ball. Like Peralta, he was just a little older than ideal for the GCL and needs to move up steadily. He should be at Williamsport next year.
