The Pirates originally drafted Picart out of a Puerto Rico HS, then signed him
after he'd played a year at Miami Dade JC. I couldn't find any other information
on him, except that he was not regarded by BA as a top draft-and-follow candidate.
At Bradenton, he shared middle IF time with Alexander Peralta, Dan Schwartzbauer,
and David Munoz, playing more at 2B than SS and getting the least time of the
four. He held his own with the bat, except that he showed no power. He could be
at either Williamsport or Bradenton in 2005.
