Skrehot reached AA as an organizational UT player in 2000, playing all over the field as the Curve was decimated with injuries. He impressed the Pirates enough that he became the regular SS in 2001. He had a fairly good year, but didn't repeat it in 2002. He's opened the last two seasons at Altoona as well, making him the only player to play for the Curve in all four years of their existence. He's hit for a decent average the last two years, but hasn't done much else. Oddly, he hit very well, with surprising power, in a stint with Nashville while the Sounds were shorthanded. Skrehot is capable if unspectacular defensively. He missed time with injuries in each of the last two seasons. He has signed a contract with the Bucs for 2005 and could return either to AAA or AA. With the Pirates not having any middle IF prospects moving up to AAA and having Brandon Chaves, Taber Lee and Victor Mercedes all at AA, Skrehot ended up as a backup at Indianapolis.
