Raymundo has had a curious career. He's generally hit for average, drawn walks, and shown doubles power, but he's drifted repeatedly from one organization to another. He had weak seasons in 2000 and 2002 that may have gotten him off the prospect track. Maybe he's also poor defensively. The Pirates signed him as a free agent. Based on his track record, he probably belongs in AA, as he hit fairly well in his brief chances there in 2004. Despite being 28, however, Raymundo was slated to start the season at Lynchburg, as the Pirates continue to stock their lower level teams with overage players in an effort to post good W/L records. He actually started off at Indianapolis when the Indians were missing a couple players, but he'll likely end up at Lynchburg later.
