TASER devices are among the safest, most effective non-lethal weapon available to law enforcement officers. |
On May 30, 2003, TASER International introduced the new TASER X26 with Shaped Pulse™ Technology. The TASER X26 offers even greater stopping power than the ADVANCED TASER M26 – in a package that is 60% smaller and lighter. Optimized for full time carry on the duty belt, the X26 ships in a complete system including an ambidextrous eXoskeleton™ Holster. We believe the X26 will transform law enforcement and become a vital tool for patrol level law enforcement offices around the world.
The ADVANCED TASER uses proprietary technology to incapacitate dangerous, combative, or high-risk subjects that may be impervious to other non-lethal means. The technology of the device is generally effective regardless of pain tolerance, drug use, or body size – factors that cause other options to have decreased effectiveness.
Effective weapons increase the safety of law enforcement officers, decrease suspect injuries, improve community relations, reduce litigation and police department medical and liability insurance costs, and save lives. Nearly all law enforcement agencies authorize the use of weapons, including pepper sprays, impact devices and conducted energy weapons such as TASER products.
