I wrote this a while ago after hearing of all the Wall Street brokers that perished in the World Trade Center collapse. Sometime after the tragedy, I recall watching a moment of silence on tv during the morning bell on the stock market and the bell, reminded me of the bell used in the Buddhist traditions. In that tradition, the bell symbolizes mindfulness.
