There was a peaceful solitude on the estuary. A few fiddler crabs scurried into the marsh grasses as our kayaks approached their territory. The sun and soft wind felt good.
Paddling toward the choppier open bay, we left a magical stillness behind us.
It was a beautiful Friday afternoon on Barnegat Bay with Linda. There were no regrets or guilt for calling in sick to work.
It was such a nice day, I even enjoyed hosing down the boats.
