WILLIAMSBURG CONSERVATION
TRAIL
Open
to All Uses
Location: two miles
out Briar Hill Road on the east side of the road.
Description: On
Briar Hill Road, about a third of a mile before the town
line, is a parcel of land managed by the Williamsburg Conservation
Commission. In the 1970s, volunteers developed trails and
picnic areas on this land. The current trail, built on an
old wood road, begins in a young hardwood forest, crosses
Cold Brook and climbs through hemlock, oak and hickory stands
to a vista overlooking the northern parts of town, with views
of the Conway State Forest. The trail is less than 1.5 miles
round trip.
