Volunteers and Williamsburg Woodland Trails Committee members spent a productive and satisfying morning at the town-owned Hall Conservation Property. Coordinator John Hoogstraten oversaw this project which included the design and construction of two wooden footbridges along sections of trail that cross a stream. With some group effort and a little muscle, buckets of tools and pre-cut lumber were carted and carried to the sites approximately one-quarter mile down the trail. Everybody helped, whether it was laying stones, driving rebar anchor pins, or nailing decking. Within one hour, the first bridge was nearly complete, both were finished within two and one-half hours.
Spring Trail Maintenance was also held this year at this site. New and older trails, were cleared making the area more inviting to the public.
