Beat the heat and begin the first day of summer and Father's Day, with an invigorating morning hike on Petticoat Hill Reservation/Locke's Loop Trail. This hillside is covered by a 100-year-old forest criss-crossed by old stone walls. It is a moderate one hour hike, (approximately 1.5 miles), and some climbing is involved. Interested folks can meet after the hike for breakfast at Williamsburg's newest local restaurant, The Hilltown Silver Spoon.
When: Sunday, June 21st, 8:00 am
Where: Meet at The Trustees of Reservations trailhead on Petticoat Hill Road. Additional parking is available at the Dunphy School parking lot. From there the trailhead is a short distance up Petticoat Hill Rd. on the left.
