The station was setup by WX2NJ and AC2A to demonstrate diversity (hobbies, outside activities, etc.) of plant engineering employees. ARES operators AA2MH and KA2ENV assisted by explaining the equipment to observers and making contacts. Two HF dipoles, and three VHF verticals were installed temporarily on the roof of the three story administration building to support 40, 20, 17, 15, 10, 6, and 2 meter operations. Several operating modes were demonstrated which included SSB, FM, CW, Packet, APRS and RTTY.

Tom, N2VFK, proudly displays his "Emergency Management Communications" plate. The plates were a special order by Ocean County ARES and are available in limited quantities.
