Text Box: Verizon Center Concert Video in D.C.  15 Jan 2009 (.wmv) (File is 28.3MB and takes a while to load in your browser,  right click the link above and select “Save Target As…” and then specify a location on your local hard drive to save the file to.) This footage was taken using a Motorola V3M Razr cell phone in 15 second clips and converted from .3g2 files to .wmv files then imported into Windows Movie Maker for WinXP then a .mp3 sound file was laid down over the new video track.  The soundtrack is not recorded live from the show due to poor sound capture quality of the Razr phone.  Not bad for a hand held cell phone camera from the 4th tier of the Verizon Center.

Text Box: SHOW NOTES *This was the sixteenth time that Metallica has played in the Washington DC area (which includes Landover, MD and Columbia, MD). The first time they played here was on April 16, 1986 at the Capital Center during the Damage, Inc. tour. *The last time Metallica performed in Washington DC was on October 17, 2004 at MCI Center on the Madly in Anger With the World tour. *Metallica has performed in the DC area on the following tours: Damage, Inc., Van Halen’s Monsters of Rock, Damaged Justice, Wherever We May Roam, Guns ‘N Metallica, Summer Shit, Poor Touring Me, Poor ReTouring Me, Summer Sanitarium 2003, and Madly in Anger with the World. *This was the first time that Die, Die My Darling was performed in Washington DC. *This was the first time in almost 17 years that The Four Horsemen was played (electrically! 1998 doesn’t count!) in the DC area. The last time it was played in these parts was on April 2, 1992 at the Capital Center in Landover, MD.
