DID  YOU  KNOW  THAT…

…if you would like after-school care for your child in a home setting, please contact the school office. We have a parent who would like to offer this.

…now that we have had our first snowfall, the issue of parking and traffic patterns becomes critical. Vehicles must park only on the LEFT side of the Newberry Street hill and avoid blocking the driveways of our neighbors.

…we have had some problems with tardy students and in the future will ask that parents come in and sign them in. Letters will be sent to parents of chronically tardy students.

…we are also reinforcing the use of the GUEST PASS. All visitors to the school (even the most familiar ones) must stop at the office and receive a GUEST PASS before going to other parts of the school. Teachers have been told to send visitors to the office.

CLASSROOM  NOTES

The Giving Tree ornaments are ready and we will be sending home a sign-up sheet today with more information. Children will select ornaments later this week and the gifts will be due by December 19. The gifts are used by the Woburn Council for Social Concerns to help less fortunate children in the area. Thank you for your help!

We are still looking for parents who can help teachers in the computer lab when the classes go. This involves consulting with the teacher in advance, helping research materials, and accompanying the class to the computer lab when they go. If you have computer skills and time available, we would certainly appreciate your help. Please contact the school office or your child's teacher.

 PTO  NEWS

The next meeting of the PTO will be Tuesday, January 6 at 7:00 in the school library. We hope to see many parents there!

The PTO Holiday Workshop is underway today, tomorrow, and Thursday of this week. Schedules were sent home with students last week. This is an opportunity for children to purchase presents for  immediate family members.
