Brandon's 1999 Chevy C5 Corvette

This is the biggest system that I've done in a while. It took quite a few months to complete, because both Brandon and I work full-time jobs and had conflicting schedules. So we worked on it here and there. The outcome ... well, just look at the pics.
Here's the system:
- Head Unit: Clarion VRX935VD - DVD/MP3 Receiver with 7" LCD Monitor
- CD Changer: Clarion Pro Audio DCZ625
- Amplifiers: Highs - Hifonics Z6400 (85w x 4 @ 4 ohms)
Lows - (2) Hifonics Z1000D's (1000w x 1 @ 1 ohm)
- Front & Rear Speakers: MB Quart Q-Series 6.5" Component Sets
- Subwoofers: (2) Kicker Solobaric S15L7-2 in a Custom 3.8 Cu Ft Sealed Box
- Sound Deadening: Dynamat Extreme Applied Throughout
- Battery: (2) Optima Yellow Tops (Front & Rear)
- Interconnects : Stinger Expert Series RCA's
- Power Wire & Connectors: Stinger HPM Series 1/0 Gauge Red & Silver Power
& Stinger Expert Series Battery Terminals & Connectors
- Gauge - Dakota Digital Voltage Gauge
- Neon Lights: (3) Blue Neon Tubes in Amp Rack Area
(4) Blue Neon Tubes in Passenger Compartment
(8) Blue Neon Tubes on Exterior of Car (Front, Sides, & Rear)
Brandon's db meter results:
5/23/2004 - Outlaw SPL (Concord, CA) - Super Stock 1801 & up - 146.3db (2nd place) - TermLab sensor
Brandon should've been classified under the Super Stock 301 - 900 class, but due to
a discrepancy in his amplifier ratings, the amps were rated at 1000w @ 4 ohms,
instead of 250w @ 4 ohms.
To being the project, we stripped the entire rear portion of the car and both doors in order to apply the Dynamat Extreme.
The car literally looked like it had been stolen and stripped for parts.
Before ... all NEKKID:

After:

I then fabricated some panels out of 3/4" MDF to house the MB Quart Q-Series Components.

Next, I built the custom subwoofer box and mounted the amps.
With the cargo area being limited, I had to squeeze every amount of airspace as possible.
I ended up with 3.8 cu ft total (1.9 cu ft each),
and stuffed the box with some polyfill to trick the woofers into seeing more airspace.
Kicker's recommended minimum airspace for the Solobaric S15L7's is 1.5 cu ft each.

In order to fit everything into the dash, both the dash bezel and equipment locations had to be modified.
I had to relocate the stock heater controls to where the stock ash tray was.
I then mounted the Clarion VRX935VD where the stock heater controls were.
Lastly, I fabricated a custom panel out of 3/4" MDF to house the
Dakota Digital Gauge, Hifonics Bass Knobs, and Neon Switches.

Here are the completed installation photos, including some shots with the blue neon lights.
