STATE QUALIFYING STANDARDS

DIVING

District One will receive two (2) automatic AA qualifiers. District One will receive seven (8) automatic AAA qualifiers. The total number of automatic qualifiers throughout the State will be twenty four (24) Divers in each category. All twelve (12) Districts will be represented at the State Meet.

SWIMMING

AUTOMATIC INDIVIDUAL AND RELAY STATE QUALIFIERS

District One will receive one (1) automatic AA qualifier. District One will receive four (4) automatic AAA qualifiers. The total number of automatic qualifiers throughout the State will be sixteen (16) swimmers. All twelve districts will be represented at the meet.

ADDITIONAL INDIVIDUAL STATE QUALIFIERS FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL EVENT

In addition to the sixteen (16) swimmers selected in the District Championships across the State; sixteen (16) additional swimmers throughout the State will be selected by time. Total number of swimmers in each individual event will not exceed thirty two (32). There will be a maximum of four (4) heats in each individual event. In the event of a tie for the

32^nd swimming or the 24^th relay team qualifier, the use of the validated fully automatic District seed times will be used to determine which swimmer or relay team will advance to the PIAA Swimming Championships.

ADDITIONAL RELAY STATE QUALIFIERS FOR EACH RELAY EVENT

In addition to the sixteen (16) relays selected in the District Championships across the State; eight (8) additional relays throughout the State will be selected by time. There will be a maximum of three (3) heats in each relay event.

Final result for swimmers and relays qualifying for the State Meet will be posted on the PIAA Website when all District Swimming Championships throughout the State conclude their championship meets.
