Blast from the Baby Boomers' Past! This issue of "Practical English: A Scholastic Magazine" features on its front cover a "Young Star" -- the late Anthony Perkins, in his first important film role as Josh Birdwell in the 1955 movie "Friendly Persuasion". High school educational magazine is dated November 8, 1956, Vol 21, No. 9, 36 pages, of 8 1/2 X 11 inch paper slightly heavier than newsprint, filled with high school nostalgia for the baby boomer. In good, collectible condition, with the name of the owner written in ink in the top margin of the cover, capital "R" lightly written in pencil above a few of the pages (probably a student keeping track of what he read) and a puzzle done in pencil inside. Pages otherwise clean and intact, corners slightly curled, 2 1-inch tears at the top front page that doesn't intrude onto the image, yellowing and fading throughout appropriate to its age. Faint watermarks on first 4 pages over the lower spine. No musty odor or mildew damage.
