"Grand Openings," "Travel Parties," & "shopYTB Parties" Why So Important?
Every business has Grand Openings, usually several, and ongoing initiatives that are designed to introduce, increase and reinforce awareness of who they are, what they provide and how well they provide it to generate greater and greater market share. The only difference is that many of these multi-million/billion dollar businesses invested huge sums of money to get started where you didn't.
In your business, initially, your warm market (the people you know) is the most valuable asset you have from both a base prospective customer and prospective partner standpoint. The booking engine you have, less the millions that have been pumped into it since 2004 would retail at a startup cost of appx. $30,000 with a monthly maintenance fee of $700. If you take the booking engine you have now, it would be much more. This doesn't include all the expenses you would incur in marketing campaigns YTB provides for you here. It rivals our largest competitors' booking engines and you didn't have to pay $5 Billion like Mr. Dillar did for Expedia.
If you invested that much in your business, how aggressive would you be in making sure you identified every person you know and making sure they knew exactly what you had to offer? Just because you had the benefit of YTB and didn't pay that much, you still lose the same amount of profit, that belongs to you and your family, if you don't treat it as if you had made that investment.
What is the Objective of a Grand Opening / "x" Party?
The objective is to, in a very fun way, show everyone what you have as a business, the products/services you offer and how they are provided. This will allow your customers to know what business you are in and how to give you their business. It will also allow everyone, who keeps their business options open, to recognize what you have with your business, opening up the opportunity for them to become a partner of yours. This will further expand the leverage and reach of your business while helping them to benefit from the same opportunity you have seized.
