12/29/03 - I have recently aquired Mega Man X7, Medal of Honor: Rising Sun, and Need for Speed: Underground. As result, updates will be somewhat scarce... (although I'll try to drag my self away from the TV to possibly ramble about it in the forums) Anyway, hope everyone had a great Christmas! Along with the news this week, there is also Dan's predictions for 2004, from the "One Last Byte" section of the newsletter. Definitely worth a look. 12/22/03 - Updated a couple details in the systems section, and I've updated the news. On time! Woo! *runs around in circles yelling wildly* ...yeah. Also, if you haven't checked out the forums yet, I urge you to do so. They're still pretty new, so there aren't many posters yet, so they could use some active members. And I can guarentee that it's at least as, if not more enjoyable than gouging your eye out with a fork! :D ...yup. ¬_¬ 12/17/03 - Okay, I've FINALLY updated the news... >_< sorry for the slowness, I've been gone for the last five days, and didn't get a chance last night... 12/04/03 - Added link for OldOS.org to the Misc section and redid a couple things in the Windows Internet Tools section. I just watched the video of someone beating Super Mario 3 in 11 MINUTES. That was unbelievable... New look, new name, guaranteed to be at least as crappy as before. Anyway, on this side I'll be posting the details of the updates to the computer related part of the site. I'll be sticking with the starry spacey looking background, at least for now. It looked kind of boring with no background (that implies that it's not boring with a background, heh), and this is the only one I have that I liked currently. Except this time, I'm going with it for the whole site, instead of some pages dark with light text, and some others light with dark text. (useful if you already have Java installed) 10/01/03 - Updated the MS Office Alternatives page (linked on the Misc Computer and Win 95/98 pages) with the downloads for the new OpenOffice 1.1, reorganized the Misc Computer Related page a bit, and updated the link to Wambooli.com with a link to the new Wambooli Forums. 09/30/03 - A day late on the weekly news update, been gone the last few days... 09/16/03 - Switched ISPs recently (from dial-up to cable! woo!), so I have just moved the mirror of this site from my old ISP space to the new ISP space. Everything seems to be working correctly, but if you find something that isn't working correctly, feel free to let me know. Also added WinZip 6.3 to the NT 3.51 section. I still haven't gotten to the Systems and Desktops sections yet, so some things aren't working there, and everything there is outdated. 09/13/03 - Fixed the broken link to the WinWorld website on the Misc. Computer Related section. Haven't had much time to do anything with the site lately other than the weekly news, but hopefully I'll get a chance soon. The Desktops and Systems sections as WAY out of date... 09/01/03 - Added link for the AncientWin website to the Misc Computer section and fixed broken download link for the NT 3.51 NetShow player. 08/23/03 - Fixed a couple minor things and added download for WinZip 7.0 to the NT 3.51 section. 08/16/03 - Fixed downloads for the 16-bit versions of the Word 97 and PowerPoint 97 viewers, added download for AOL Instant Messenger 5.2, and added link to the website for Gaim. 08/12/03 - Thanks to the testing help of Dominicus, we are now able to make NT 3.51 specific downloads available! The NT 3.51 section has been redone, and there are many new downloads available, along with the download link fixed for NT 3.51 Service pack 5. (also linked here) I have updated the link for this in the Windows 3.1x section. 07/24/03 - Web1000 is working again, so all servers and links work correctly! As for the status of Calmira.Org, the people of the community are working together to get an offical site up and running again. Currently, a temporary version can be accessed here. Also, I have fixed some outdated links in multiple sections for the Powerload resources site and the WinVision website. (formerly Win 3.x 2002) 07/21/03 - I'm currently having problems with one of my servers, so for now I've edited to the http://pcfwebzone.vze.com address to only direct visitors to the working server. This means the addresses http://pcfwebzone.vze.com and http://pcfwebzone.alturl.com both work correctly, but http://pcfwebzone.web1000.com will send you to an outdated version of the site. Once the server problem is taken care of, I'll have the vze.com address go back to random. Also, the Systems and Desktops sections are extremely outdated, but it'll still be a little while before I can get to that. 07/13/03 - It seems that Calmira.Org, homepage for the Win9x style interface for Windows 3.1x, has gone down. Since they've been down for a while, and there's no way of knowing when they'll be back, Lightspeed has uploaded the latest version (3.3) to his website. Go here if you're looking to download it. 07/06/03 - Added download links for the GetRight download manager to the Windows 3.1 and Windows 9x Internet Tools sections. 07/04/03 - Added download link for the Mac OS X version of OpenOffice to the MS Office Alternatives page, and added download links for Mozilla 1.4 and Netscape 7.1 to the Windows 9x Internet Tools section. 07/01/03 - The Weekly Wambooli Salad was a special issue this week, so there won't be any news updates until next issue. 06/30/03 - Fixed the link for K-Semler's website on the Misc Computer Related page and the Win3.1 section. It seems that good ol' N1, my former partner in running the Windows 3.1 WebRing, went the "slander and falsely accuse" route, instead of just parting ways peacefully, or contacting me privately with his concerns. This site will now have Weekly Computer News Updates, from the Weekly Wambooli Salad email newsletter, written by Dan Gookin. This feature will be updated every week (on Mon.), so be sure to check back for the latest computer news. 06/11/03 (updated) - The move to the Web1000 server is complete. Everything has been uploaded and tested, and everything seems to be working correctly. If you find anything that isn't working right, please email me. As for updates, I have fixed a few broken links here and there in the Win 3.1x Internet Tools section, and have updated the downloads for the latest versions of OpenOffice in the MS Office Alternatives page. Also added links to Terri's PC Support and the FOXY2K DOS website. 06/11/03 - The site will be moving to Web1000 soon for it's primary server. For now, I'll continue to use the free space from my ISP as a backup mirror for the site. As seen on the left, there are separate addresses for each server, while the current address will send you to a random server. I am currently in the process of the move, so currently, many things probably aren't working on the Web1000 server. I should have everything uploaded and fixed by the end of today. 06/10/03 - Currently working on setting up a mirror for this website. I haven't decided for sure if I'll set up a new address for the mirror, or if I'll just set the current one to divide the traffic. I'll post that info soon. Also updated the Win9x Internet Tools section with downloads for Opera 7.11 and Mozilla 1.3.1. As for the site's background music, I have decided to just get rid of it, since some people don't like site's with music, and it makes things load faster without it. 05/07/03 - Removed the website background music, for now.
