From the desk of ZeusEnergy, Christmas season 2002. Non-professional Theory which includes proven arguments, I just like to write :0)

Theory Of Everything:

In the beginning there was a molten planet. As it cooled, the carbon compounds generated by the earth's internal furnace dispersed into the atmosphere, as well as the waters that are still in our biosphere today.
Given the enormous time and area of the earth during its' early crust period, there was ample chance for mixtures of carbon compounds to begin to do more than just lie there and look dead. Life began as very small living things, barely "alive" by any standard today. This was a by-product of the earth's cycles, the gravity of the early moon, and the presence of water and heat/light from the sun.
Since then, life EVOLVED.
Part of that evolution was sensience- the abilty of creatures to reason and think independantly. This ability allowed for a much more diverse and robust variety of life, able to cope with changes CONCIOUSLY allowing these life forms to move freely about, rather than staying in one place like most plant life.

So where do we fit in?
If the fans never flocked to the football game, would there still be a football game? NO. In a similar manner you could say that I believe if we as life-observers were not here to view life and ponder its mysteries, than the earth would have never existed- Because we have something "special", called history.

What is the meaning of a "soul"?
That is a hard question, with an easy answer.
Everything you see, everything you touch, hear, etc. is made up of FREQUENCIES. Even a block of steel, sitting on the floor of your garage is IN MOTION. The energy within each atom is so powerful that those atoms become solid to us. But on a "sub-nano" scale, there is nothing there but energy waves. We are also made of those same energy waves, and I believe that those waves, and our thoughts, are inseparable. They are one in the same. They are both made of an energy frequency, just like radio waves and the sound from your stereo.
To me the universe is homogenous, a single energy field that operates in very subtle ways to generate what we consider to be REALITY.

Some people separate the mind from the rest of the universe by stating that there is a thing called the "universal conciousness" where our souls come from when we are born, and return to when we die. But that doesn't include our interactions with matter on our world, does it? I think that is a narrow minded solution to a much simpler design. I would like to propose something called the "universal energy" which functions the same way, but includes all things we can observe.

With MY theory, almost any question about the universe or ourselves can be answered. Unexplainable events such as premonitions and ghostly apparitions also apply to my theory, since all life, at any time in history and anywhere in the universe IS CONNECTED by those threads of energy in the fabric of all things. Maybe the whole reason life started here in the first place is because life HAS to be present for a universe to even exist at all.

The basis of all life on earth along with every other physical, imagined, and invisible event or thing is unitized as a single entity called energy. Now that's complicated!

But in reality, this premise is simpler than most explanations of what "is" and what "is not". I do not like the idea of piecemealing individual parts of science and technology progression for the sake of simplifying the ideas and theories contained within them. It makes ALL THINGS much more complex then they should be in discussion. Everyone feels this need to compare and contrast different facets of what we know into ever more separate categories- effectively shutting out the premise of everything being of one force/power/energy. However, there are times where the need to explain things in HUMAN terms comes around. Those are the times we need to use the old ways of thought for a short duration only for the common good of technology.

What can you do about a whole world which almost single-mindedly forgets about the commonalities of all things, living and static? For me it has been almost unbearable to try explaining this theory to people, mostly because they have been taught from an early age to forget the ONE force that engages us all. When you observe a young child and the ways in which they sense things, you can tell there is much more to their communications with adults then meets the eye. It is almost as if they might be endowed with some sort of second sight. Some adults also use this part of human thought to their advantage, whether or not you believe it is true, you cannot discredit the scientific proof of ESP in some real subjects.

There is no reason for being, no answer that will astound us all because we are all blinded by the same spoken and written language that is being written right now. Once a person has learned to speak and read, thought no longer takes its natural course. Instead there is a new way of perceiving things in a way anyone else with the same learned reality can understand. I don't think giving up speaking will help either! Why undo what we have built as a society for the common good of man, when in the end we would destroy civilization? We COULD attempt to bring together the different religious sectors to try to find a common theme though. Religion happens to be the strongest of all ideas in man even in the new age of Technology. So if we were to combine the central goals and ideals of the major schools of God we might just find that they are not so different after all. Maybe Christians are praying to the same GOD as Hindu or Islamic people do. The possibility is just as interesting as it is controversial. This is my particular belief, and as such I would not want other people to blindly or forcefully embrace it like people did during the crusades. But examining the details of what I am saying, you might get a bit of light shed on your own beliefs!

There is no reason to assume that people are more apt or special than any other living thing. When scientists study nearly any animal species, they always find extraordinary results with learning and communication. It is no wonder, we are but animals ourselves- just a little more organized than the average group of monkeys! Humans had to find a way to compete in the chain of life at one time in our past. Spoken language apparently helped us get to where we are now. The beauty of nature is apparent no matter how you dissect or scrutinize it. Details are grand and mind-boggling at the same time. And the truly funny part of it all is that with every theory or new discovery, comes another yet more intriguing theory replacing the original, proving those same intellectual people (who made the original idea household) wrong! One has to think that if we cannot nail down the truth today, what makes these people think they can find the correct answer tomorrow? I don't think we as humans have it all wrong, rather some of our ideas may not be as complete as they should be. And the depth of these truths will never become public knowledge mostly because it is well beyond our reach of understanding. Someday we may be close, but never will we hold the keys to the last word. There truly is only one who knows the full scope of all things!

We must still persevere and strive to find out as much as we can. Some folks think it might be best to stop the progression of technology simply because we are getting so close to the discovery of a lifetime- Nanotechnology and its myriad of possibilities. Others want no "cloning" research. Still more say no to genetic alterations. I believe the main reason for the lack of enthusiasm is fear. Fear of both the unknown and fear of the implications associated with creating life in a unnatural way. We have no choice but to allow these studies to continue, for the pure fact that we are human. We need to learn, to create and destroy. We have a yearning for things we cannot understand. And this is what allows us as a species to survive, more so than evolution at this point. The natural order of things became null and void as soon as we became farmers, shepards, and gatherers. Granted, technology has progressed well beyond the simple things humans did back then. But are the new discoveries and tools we use any less natural than holding sheep in a fenced-in cage, or picking the best seeds from a crop to create an even hardier version? Plants and animals have been tailored by humans for the duration of history. Even the bible has references to farming and sheparding techniques. Did god allow for those animals and plants to be modified for people's consumption, or were they supposed to run free or grow where the seed falls? Since we have already "played god" with many different living things since the dawn of humanity, what makes the new dabblings of scientists any different? no matter what people think and protest about, there will always be a few individuals who will continue to ask questions and attempt to find answers even under penalty of law. Computer hackers are an excellent example of this. And there are various contries which do not work alongside the cooperative USA-Europe-Soviet-Japanese group, therefore they will not embrace the same laws as we would put in place banning the research involved. I would much rather have allied forces in control of high technology than some terrorist nation! The fact that USA, England, and Japan have been working together to find a solution to Nanotechnology gives me hope that we will get there first allowing for safe use of the tools we will have at that time.

The majority rules. People need to feel like they are a part of something, and by taking part in the shared "reality" they in turn become part of society. For those of us who strive to go beyond regular thought and perception, this can be a problem for acceptance in society. Intellectuals often find themselves in a lonely position due to misunderstanding from the general populace. Strange or far-fetched ideas can be laughable to most people and therefore the ideas will be unbelievable hogwash to the majority. I have no qualms about telling others about my ideas, but somehow the importance of what I am saying is lost, especially if I am enthusiastic about it! It seems as if people think you are a lunatic if you have ideas that are beyond normal thinking. You could say that most of us are open to only trivial wisdom rather than deep wisdom. How many people have been laughed out of public forums because they had spoken of things not yet accepted in that time period? The world is round. We can go to the moon. Computers will be small enough to carry in your pocket. All of these things were once thought of as ridiculous by the vast majority and even scholars. Proof is the only way of justifying new ideas. A new order of thinking is becoming common now, where new ideas can and are accepted as a matter of course, but these people are following blindly just like the regular society follows the majority. This places an additional level of stigma onto new ideas, because you end up with "groupies" who will believe in whatever you can dream up. Look at the Roswell UFO believers. They make it all the more difficult to seriously accept any real-world investigation into the subject of alien life. It becomes nothing more than a joke to most people. Credibility is given to those who can PROVE themselves beyond any reasonable doubt. Everyone else is shunned and joked about by the majority. And that is only if the idea was even considered important enough to be listened to! Some ideas just get tossed out the window of the mind straight away, just because it did not seem important to the listener.

Importance is subjective. A woman watching a soap opera might get something out of the show, but her husband might rather be cleaning horse stables than to watch soaps. Similarly, a high order of thought might interest some geeks and of course the "groupie" types which mostly have no input to give at all, but a sixty year old grandmother might not even catch the principles of what is being communicated. Grandma thinks the discussion is unimportant and disinterest sets in, effectively shutting out the rest of the conversation. It is this importance factor that drives us to our interests and away from things we do not think of as interesting. Real importance- the pressing, hurry up and do something kind where many people might even die unless action is taken- can sometimes be given little priority just because the facts and ideas presented publicly do not fit with what the majority may be interested in. Let's say there was a large object in space due to hit earth in ten years. Explaining trajectories and orbital variances publicly will not help a team of people attempting to prevent the impending doom, but telling people that their children will never get to grow old might get some attention. People just prefer to have their information given to them in a format that they can understand. This is where importance comes into play. Even if an idea sounds unbelievable, if you can communicate it to the majority in a way that piques their interest you might have a chance to get some attention. It's pretty sad that movie stars romantic lives get more publicity and more viewers than a comet impacting Jupiter (live on video) leaving a mark larger than Earth!

What are we going to do in the soon to be future? Will we live in a utopia laden with love and peace? I doubt it. Realisticly, no utopia can survive unless ALL of the members have the same mindset. There are too many personalities to account for. There would also be little diversity in a world such as this. But living a life with nearly anything dreamed possible might be the closest thing to a utopia in the real world. Time is short and from all sources of research, there is a variable date for the coming singularity called Nanotechnology. Around 2012 we should have operational assemblers and therefore nearly anything humans need will be made cheaply and eco-friendly. Obviously this will turn the economy of the world on its head. But for everyone to have financial freedom (wealth will be in every household since almost any device or object could be assembled so inexpensively,) life will certainly change for the better. No longer will there be a giant void between the rich and poor. Thought will be the difference between people. Some of us will be intellectual and some of us will be mentally passive. Again, there will be a great divide between classes but instead of money, ideas and personalities will be the deciding factors of class.

Once upon a time there was someone who didn't even know who he was. This man had a good life, but instead of enjoying it he wanted more. This describes many of us in a deeply profound way, since people feel the need to aquire more of everything. Friends, money, status symbols, food, it really doesn't matter what it is we desire. The fact is we are all in some way gluttons for "stuff". Because of this deep seated need for more, the future of Nanotechnology is quite important to all of us. You could have more of everything and not be financially wealthy. Will this bring the end-all of happiness to the human race? There is little chance for such a turn of events, because our levels of desire will be raised significantly by the newfound gifts of science. Happiness does not come with possessions or the saturation of our satisfaction. With satisfaction you might say that people in general are quick to make their wants and needs refined even more. The unfortunate truth is that technology may be limited by the laws of nature in some ways, so that our progression will at least slow down to the point of stagnation for many years. Hopefully this period in history won't be the downfall of mankind. But with everything you want, and no hope of anything better to come, what would happen? Will there be a spoiled brat seated in the minds of us all? Or maybe we could go further with thought, instead of "things".

Here is a story I wrote in March of 1999, it is a TRUE story! If gory stuff bugs you, don't read it! This story goes to show that sometimes people have no control over what may happen next in life!

When people are young, having limited resources and money, living space has to be compromised. Roommates are sometimes necessary to keep up with bills. These roommates can be friends, family, or people who need to save money. Sometimes this living condition can lead to parties, fights, and police intervention when things go wrong. I speak from experience since I’ve had many roommates, most of which led to those problems. During 1993, I moved into an apartment in Manchester on Hanover Street. My friend Mike and I shared this home, with fewer of the problems found in shared living than usual. Although we had many parties, we kept ourselves out of trouble while having fun. Out of all the parties we had, one uneventful party quickly turned into a strange night.

The apartment on Hanover Street was on the first floor of a three-family Victorian house. The ceilings were high, and there were belt lines in some rooms. Cabinets with glass doors adorned the kitchen, and old cast-iron radiators heated each room. The living room had bay windows wrapping it on one side. Our modern furniture and appliances looked out of place in such an old-fashioned environment. Our dress styles also contrasted with this home; we were more party animals than conservative. Everyone who knew us loved this apartment, as if they were attracted to it like a moth flies into the light. Some people thought our apartment had a personality about it, an almost living quality that spoke to all who entered it.

Mike and I had a good friend named Doug who came to our place often. He called us one night, and said he was coming over. Mike asked me if Doug was bringing beer, because we had none. Doug said, “I’ll have to get forties, because I only have five bucks.” Doug was the kind of friend who shared what he had with us, so I told him, “That’s fine, man. We got the food if you bring the beer to wash it down!” He arrived in ten minutes.

Once Doug showed up, I began bringing out some food for us to eat. Just as I sat down to drink my freshly poured beer, someone knocked on the door. I peered through the peephole in the door to see a female face. It was Natalie, a friend of ours who frequently came over. I let her in, and within ten minutes she and Mike disappeared into his bedroom to watch a movie she brought with her. Doug and I listened to music for a while, and until someone else knocked on the door, it was an uneventful evening.

The knock came around eleven at night, and by this time Mike was back in the living room with Doug and I. Natalie peeked out from Mike’s room to see who was knocking. I got up to answer the door once again, only to see an unremarkable male face on the other side of the door. I assumed someone would know this person, so I opened the door. Our front door opened inwards, so I didn’t have a chance to see him in full until he was inside the apartment. The first thing I noticed about this man wasn’t visual; it was a feeling I had. Since both Doug and Mike had the opportunity to see this man before I did, their expressions made me uncomfortable at once. I stood there behind the door momentarily, looking at both of them, as they looked at each other with confusion. I stepped back to see a man in his late twenties, with a medium build and height. He had brown hair and eyes, and he was obviously drunk. In his hands he carried two tall Budweiser beers, and his coat pockets overflowed with four more. His presence in our home and his level of drunkenness was strange enough to raise concern about our safety, and stranger still was his silence. The man swayed like a small boat in the Pacific Ocean.

Finally, after a few moments which seemed like minutes, Mike asked the man harshly, “Who the fuck are you?” The man replied, “I did something I think I’ll regret in the morning.” Blood dripped from his hand generously, and his jeans suddenly stood out in my eyes, for they were soaked with blood. I immediately assumed he murdered someone. Doug stood up and asked him whom he had killed. I asked him to leave, and mike returned to his room to get a weapon. With a Scuba knife held in his hand behind his arm, trying not to be obvious, Mike closed his door in Natalie’s face, telling her without words to stay inside. Mike walked up to the man and told him, “Get out.”

“I need a place to stay for a while,” the man said without reservation. “I did something I’m going to regret tomorrow.” I reasoned with him, “You can’t stay here. We don’t know you, and why the hell are you all bloody?” The man continued his silence while he took off his jacket. “Didn’t you hear us?” Doug added. “We don’t want you here.” I could see Natalie peeking through the doorway again. She mouthed the words, “Who is he?” I walked up to the door and shut it again. The man finished taking his jacket off, and with it came a towel that looked maroon in color. Soon I noticed that it was soaked with blood, too.

“What did you do?” Doug asked. “I had a fight with my girlfriend,” the man replied. “I was drinking all night, just don’t call the cops or the hospital and I’ll show you what I did.” We agreed not to call the authorities, so he pulled up his sleeve to show us one of the worst wounds I had ever seen. I asked him if he cut himself. He said, “Yeah, it’s pretty bad. I just wanted to kill myself.”

Mike walked into the kitchen to grab a plastic bag, and put the towel into it. Then he got a new towel from the bathroom and returned to the man. Mike told me, “Go pick up that bag in there. It’s heavy as hell. You couldn’t fit another drop into that towel.” I examined the heft of the used towel, and mike was right. This man was going to die soon, if he kept bleeding. We fixed the towel to his wounded arm, and told him it was time to leave. The man put his jacket back on and grabbed his beers. He said, “Thanks for not calling the cops, guys. You’re cool people.” I told him, “You’re lucky you didn’t go to a different house, guy. Anybody else would have left you for dead and called the cops.” Mike wrote our names and address down on a piece of paper, and placed it in the man’s pocket. “Call us tomorrow and tell us how it turned out.”

We watched the man leave through Mike’s bedroom window, all four of us. Natalie asked us why we didn’t want her in the same room as the man who was now walking past the window. Doug said, “That’s why we hang out here. Mike and Will were looking out for you. That guy could have killed three people for all we know.”

“I wonder where he’s going?” Mike said. Just then he fell in the street. The man struggled to get back up and fell again. We started betting on if he could get up at all, but he surprised us once again when he got up and stumbled across the street. A car pulled up ahead of him and opened the door. The man who arrived in our lives so quickly disappeared into the night, never to be heard from again by us.
