The ALL BALSA VIPER 2 meter is the latest developement in our ARF series of Competition Pattern models that began with the Summit.  The VIPER IIm meets the requirements of the serious competitor seeking to get away from the usual fiberglass fuselage without surrendering the advantages of recent developements in aerobatic design and aircraft specifications.  We have shown that a balsa fuselage can be lighter than fiberglass and have greater rigidity.  It can also better absorb the punishing vibrations of the latest 4 stroke 120's.  Like its predecessors the VIPER IIm does not require mixing to overcome design shortcomings.  The deluxe kit contains an accurately framed balsa and ply fuselage with open tunnel for the pipe and removeable canopy for access to fuel tank and radio equipment.  All the holes for the plug-in wing tube, alignment pins and retract linkages are predrilled in the fuselage sides and the firewall is predrilled for the Performance Products motor mount.  The finely sanded balsa sheeted foam core wings and stab have the control surfaces ready for hinging and the wing root ribs in place.  The cut-out for the stab is done resulting in a considerable saving in time consuming assembly and alignment.  This really is an Almost Ready to Cover kit that can get you into the air very quickly and also into the winners circle.
