I was always a really
big fan of the first BWP, even with all of the hype that it
had. But nevertheless, like with any popular horror movie, there is
usually going to be a sequel. So is it any good. I was very
surprised with the overall feel that Book of Shadows has. In my
opinion it is better than the original. The charters are more
likeable charters. Most people disliked this sequel, but for me it
was good, and actually kind of creepy.
The characters are cliché in the movie though, which was something that I
was truly not expecting. We get the gothic girl, the Wicca, the
unstable male, and the criminal. Their budding personalities make
for some interesting moments in the film.
I loved the way that the director still managed to blend several kinds
of filming into the movie in a number of creative ways. Even using
security camera footage, which I think was a very nice touch.
Not for everyone though, either way at least take a chance with this
one, you may enjoy it as much as I did. |
