I have never been much of a fan of monster movies. Especially ones
that have been done so many times that when you see one it seems like
you've seen them all. What I am saying is, if you watch any movie
with "Dracula" in the title, you know what you are in for. You know
that, he sucks blood, you know that he can turn in to a bat, you know that
he can't be exposed to light, and the list goes on and on. So what
is the point of making a movie that has been done a million times, and
will be done a million more times? I don't know? Now with that
being said, I must say that I was quite pleased with Dracula 2000.
It had a very new type of feel to it. Like somebody was trying to
make a repeated story a little more interesting. The acting was
good, Gerard Butler, who played The Count, was dead on. His sedulity
could almost be felt. His whispers were almost like hisses, he was an
amazing choice for the role. The rest of the acting as well as the
directing was pretty good, no big deal though.
One of the best parts of the movie for me was the soundtrack. I
loved that it was a really good heavy metal mix. We hear Slayer and
Static-X in the same movie. It is really great.
So, if you are a fan of Dracula movies, or if you are just board on a
Saturday night, I would defiantly recommend that you look into Dracula
2000. |

We get lots of goodies. Several very bloody impaling, tons of
vampire bites, several ripped out throats, a bunch of bloody gunshot
wounds, three decapitations, even more impaling, and much more. |
