Review

With my new recent interest in watching micro budget horror movies that I have never even heard of, I decided to rent Adam & Evil.  I was actually very surprised in the results that I got from this movie.  It was actually pretty enjoyable, in its own little way.

When I started watching it the first thing I thought was, am I watching a low budget horror movie version of American Pie.  This movie is defiantly one that will make you laugh, that is if you like constant sexual innuendos.  The characters are all the cliché, horny, college graduates.  Which kind of got on my nerves at times.  But hey, I wasn't expecting much, so I dealt with it.

Adam & Evil was decently made.  It seemed to have pretty good production values, and an equally skilled director.  The directing seemed to me to be very film schoolesque. But I'm not complaining, it seemed to fit, and was actually quite appropriate.  One thing that was done that I didn't particularly like was the use of several montages.  It was too corny for my taste, and after seeing the second one I was dreading the appearance of a third one.  The soundtrack was actually decent for such a low budget movie.

So, if you like low budget slasher movies, or you liked American Pie, I would say that Adam & Evil is worth at least rental.

Gore

Not so good in the gore department.  We get a slit throat, an axing, and a couple of shots with a cross bow.
