Plot

Elvis Lives! At least he does in Bubba Ho-Tep.  It turns out that Elvis switched identities with an Elvis impersonator.  So Elvis has been alive all along.  So where is the king now?  In an old folks home, with a black man who thinks that he is JFK.

Review

Now this type of thing doesn't happen so often.  What I mean is we get a horror comedy that is actually good.  And good isn't even a good enough word to describe this movie.

There is more comedy than horror in Bubba Ho-Tep.  But that's ok, because the comedy is hilarious.  Bruce Campbell is a comedic genius.  He also plays Elvis brilliantly.  Even if Elvis is an old timer.  Ossie Davis delivers and outstanding performance, as a crazy old black man who thinks that he is JFK.  I mean he really made me believe that he thought he was JFK, that's how good he was.

Don Coscarelli does an amazing job in the director's chair.  He has a talent for bringing the story to life.  I love his style and overall vision for this movie.  Its great, and he knows how to bring out the comedian in Bruce Campbell.

There isn't really very much else to say except that you must see this movie.  With it's strange plot, and a great performance by both Bruce Campbell and Ossie Davis, it is sure to please.

Gore

Not really much.  But we do get a sweet smashed bug.
