| Clive Barker lends his ultra violent imagination to the world of cinema
once again, with Candyman. It is such a great movie.
There is an urban legend that if you look in the mirror and say
Candyman five times, he will appear behind you and kill you with a hook
that he has for a hand. When Helen starts to write a thesis she
decides to do it on Candyman. She doesn't know what she is getting
herself into.
Helen is played by Virginia Madsen, and she is an amazing actress.
She hits all of the emotions with flying colors. This woman can act
and that's a fact. Heh that rhymed.
I love the way that Bernard Rose used a lot of lighting effects, it
really makes the atmosphere all the more creepier. He also uses some
nice wide angled shots, which worked really well. |
