Plot

Made ten years after Night of the Living Dead, it takes place right after the events of Night.  The dead are growing in numbers and there are fewer and fewer humans left.  A group of people take refuge in a shopping mall, and are trying to get on with their lives even though the mall is surrounded by zombies.

Review

"When there's no more room in Hell, the dead will walk the earth."

One of the most successful independent movies ever made.  Dawn of the Dead is the second installment in George A. Romero's Dead Trilogy.  It set the standard for zombie movies,  just as Night of the Living Dead did ten years earlier.  One of the greatest zombie movies I have ever seen in my life.  The special effects are amazing and gory as hell.

Behind all of the blood and zombies is a deeper story though.  It is a story of human survival, and trying to get on with life, even though there are billions of zombies walking the earth.  The characters are so well developed, and you will find yourself rooting for them.

Romero does an amazing job directing this masterpiece.  I think that he may have been a zombie in a past life, because he knows just how to make the zombies walk.  They are very convincing.

This movie is quite possibly one of the most important horror movies ever made, and should be seen by all.

Gore

What is a Romero zombie movie without bloodshed?  This movie is gory as hell.  With zombies biting flesh off, gunshot wounds, heads being chopped off by helicopter blades, lots more.
