Review

**Warning**
This Review May Contain Spoilers, So if you still want to read, I will type all the spoilers in red.

When I think of horror movies one of the first films that comes to my mind is Friday the 13th.  It was the first horror movie that I had ever seen.  I was only nine years old, and after that I was hooked of horror movies forever.

Friday the 13th is one of the longest running horror franchises.  But to truly get a feel of what is going on in it, you have to take a trip down memory lane with this genius horror classic.

Cunningham's direction in this movie is amazing.  And Tom Savini's (Day of the Dead, Dawn of the Dead) unbelievable special effects are there to make this movie just that much better.

The cast is great, we even get Kevin Bacon.  But the cast seems to bring their charters alive.  Especially Ralph, the town prophet.  This guy is crazy, and I really believed it.

But a lot of people seem to think that Jason is the killer in this film, but he isn't.  That job belongs to his mother.

With Betsy Palmer playing the role of Mrs. Voorhees, we get an fine performance.  Betsy brings the charter to life.  All of which make this movie an instant classic.  So If you haven't seen it, rent it tonight.

Gore

What was once considered an extremely gory film in the 80's, is nothing compared to today's standards.  But we still get an awesome slit throat, axe to the face, and an amazing arrow through the throat.
