Plot

Once again a group of horny teenagers are spending a summer weekend on Crystal Lake.  Won't these kids ever learn that this is Jason's territory?  Guess not.

Review

Friday the 13th Part 3 picks up where Friday the 13th Part 2 left off.  In fact they pretty much show the last ten minutes of it.  Now I guess that this is ok for people who had never seen the second film, but showing that much was kind of ridiculous.

Apart from the overly long flash back, we get a fairly decent sequel.  With a likeable group of teenage charters, and a loveable villain.  Also, this is the sequel where Jason gets the hockey mask.

Friday the 13th Part 3, was originally presented in 3-D in the theaters, but I wasn't around then so obviously I didn't get the pleasure of watching it in 3-D.  So you will notice a lot of objects, like knives, aces, and even eyeballs, that are going directly at the camera.  It gets annoying after awhile, considering it just looks stupid with out it being in 3-D.

Overall though, Friday the 13th Part 3 is one of the better sequels in this slasher franchise.  With bloodshed, nudity, and a little bad acting, it is sure to please all slasher fans.  Check this one out.

Gore

It is pretty gory for an R rated film.  We get a cool harpoon in the eye, a machete in through the back, somebody gets cut in half, a chopped off hand, and an axe in the head.
