Review

When talking about modern horror classics, Jeepers Creepers always seems to come up. And with good reason, it is a great movie.  It has all the things needed to make a great horror movie, good characters, great plot, and an awesome monster.

It starts out with Trish (Gina Phillips) and Darryl (Justin Long) driving down a long abandoned stretch of highway on their way home from college.  Their characters are played amazingly, they really had me thinking that they could be brother and sister.  With their constant bickering, and insults to each other, it makes their performance a joy to watch.  Gina Phillips has a pleasant onscreen presence.  And Justin Long came across as an excellent emotional actor, he hits all of his key emotions as well as his transitions.

The movie also has a great atmosphere.  The creepy highway and the even creepier church are great, I love it!  There are lots of jump scares also, which I appreciated, they use cars driving by, crow caws, sudden movements, ringing phones, and much more.

So overall I love Jeepers Creepers, I loved the Creeper, and I loved the creepy atmosphere.  But it just seemed to me like something was missing.

Gore

We get a really cool scene where walls are covered with dead bodies, stitched up wounds, decapitation, awesome dismemberment scene, and wait until the end scene, we get a great surprise.  Yummy!
