I used to think that artists are a different species, special kind of people that rarely cross the
road with “us” mortals. I thought that you have to go to big name schools, create grand scale
work,
be very sure that you are producing masterpieces, and know at every moment exactly
what you want to do.
I used to sit in art classes in my elementary school with a big blank piece of paper staring at me……. And I would stare back. I wished that I could just start painting or drawing big, bold figures like some of my friends did. Instead I would start with something tiny and wonder how will I be able to fill all that blank space.
At the same time I loved to make “houses” for little toys from empty match boxes, sew funny creatures from fabric, write, draw and glue stuff in my journals.
I learned to knit so that I can knit funny colorful sweaters like this one:

Made funny cakes for my son like this one:
or this one:
Drew cats on stones for my daughter (years before I saw books about it):
It took me many years to realize that I have been creative all my life! I feel happy that I have the opportunity to create something every day and am grateful for all the people that support my dream either by purchasing my art or by emailing lovely encouraging comments.
