Traditional Celtic fiddle music has been handed down from one generation to the next. Learn about traditional Celtic tunes, such as reels, jigs, hornpipes, strathspeys, marches, and airs. Join in the fun with Deb Collins as she walks you through tuning, hand and finger positioning, and the various styling techniques characteristic of Celtic fiddle playing from a variety of countries. No classes 10/10, 11/7, 11/14. CELTIC FIDDLE & BEYOND 7 Sessions: 09/26/09 - 11/21/09 11:00a-12:30p No classes 10/10, 11/7, 11/14. Prereq: Beginning Fiddle class or prior violin/ fiddle experience. This is your chance to broaden your musical repertoire and polish your skills. Add new techniques such as double stops, learn new bowing techniques, increase your speed, and improve the quality of your tone. Learn how to play harmony or backup other players.
